In celebration of its centennial anniversary, Switzerland’s Grand Hotel Park Gstaad reopened its doors December 17 after a nine-month renovation. The iconic chalet’s 94 rooms and suites have been modernized while remaining true to its historic location, integrating local pine, oak, and stonework into its decor.
The lobby now features an intimate wine bar, Le Caveau, with one large communal table and room for only 12. The wine selection includes bottles handpicked by the on-site sommelier, and they are accompanied by regional cheeses. Also in keeping with the Alpine theme are the new spa treatments: Swiss Chocolate Seduction, which features a salt and coffee scrub; a Swiss chocolate facial mask; vanilla and macadamia nut aromatherapy; and Mountain Indulgence, which uses regional herbs to relax sore muscles and help prepare guests for another day on the slopes.
